Wayfinding design & system development

For this project, I was tasked with designing trailhead signage for Death Valley National Park.

I started by developing an organizational grid system, and then laid out the information from the park according to the grid. Park staff often have to post additional notices, so I included a dedicated space within the layout. I utilized simple image treatment and graphic elements inspired by area maps. Though the information came from park staff, this project exists as mockups instead of physical signage.
